Designate A Captain Program

The Lake of the Ozarks Watershed Alliance and the Lake of the Ozarks Convention & Visitor Bureau, in conjunction with the Water Safety Council, are pleased to introduce the year-round "Designate A Captain" Program. The Spring Kick-Off Program will commence at the Eleventh Annual Spring Harbor Hop on May 3, 2008.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Participating waterfront restaurants and bars provide a non-alcoholic beverage of their choice to the designated captain of each group.
Designated captain will be provided with a special decal for their boat and a "Designate A Captain" keychain which they will show at participating establishments to redeem beverage.
Establishment will display a decal representing them as a participating sponsor.
A brochure listing participating sponsors will be distributed in the community and given to all captains wishing to take part in the program.
Program kicks off at the Fall Harbor Hop but continues throughout the years.
One designated captain per group.
